It took us some time - actually more than a month - but finally we found a way to express ourselves and saysomething about these overly attractive legs. We guess you are holding your breath in anxiety too, but you know the most important rule in diving - after the one about the necessity of looking like His Majesty Coolness at all times - is never to hold your breath. So let out a loving sigh and check out the story behind this picture of these legendary legs. But before we continue, uhm what about these ones? No, not the ones of the music stands, we are talking about the ones baked golden brown on Koh Tao's famous white beaches. What we really want to say is that it took us over a month to get over the fact that the cracking live music gigat The Buddha On The Beach Bar was actually Alon's farewell party. This highly rated member of the illustrious trio left Koh Tao to go back to his other home, being Israel. He took out his guitar, put on his best t-shirt and hit the stage with his beloved fellow musicians. May we introduce our favorite living jukebox? From left to right: Alon, Marina and Riccardo the magnificent. Imagine that, how cool can you really be? During the day a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, and during thenight a drummer in a Rock 'n Roll band! Alon's virtuosity on the guitar is undeniable, as are the skills of Marina. A disarming smile and an appropriate sultry voice for the steaming warm nights on Koh Tao. Yep, Riccardo noticed Marina's qualities too. This is how we do: we start playing a famous song, and the one who screams out aloud the title and the artistthe first wins himself a new best friend: Leo. There was a little buzz around Koh Tao's main beaches Chalok Ban Kao and Ban Sairee the day of the gig. Thiswas something you wanted to see. A once in a lifetime experience: this generation's Woodstock. When the first tunes fanned over the Chalok's dark moonlighted bay - it was a romantic song - there where still some free seats in the front. But from the left side of the crowd moved in slowly but surely. Chris - he can't help his facial expression, it's something compulsory whenever a camera is pointed at him - was on the sound system like a genuine pro. Patrick didn't have time to pose for the picture, his clientele was thirstyand demanded his utmost attention. There goes another Leo to the far end corner of the bar, for the gentleman wearing the white bow tie. Riccardo is a great percussionist and he has found himself a multifunctional instrument; one he can also use asa chair, bookcase and table for a nice morning breakfast in bed. Alon is a bright red star. We had mixed feeling. Sad, because the last song for this trio came closer and closer. but intensely happy tobe on Koh Tao, amongst warm friends, enjoying a drink on a top location, listening to three great people who love what they are doing. Even Sairee sent out a delegation all the way to Chalok Ban Kao, to attend this memorable night. In hindsight we stand up for this trio and applaud, once again. |
