This is how many people arrive on Koh Tao. They take the Lomprayah high speed catamaran, either from oneof the neigboring islands Koh Phangan or Koh Samui or from Bangkok or Huahin via the mainland city ofChumporn. It truly is a well running machine. Check in at one of Lomprayah's offices and without having tothink about anything you will be transported to your destination by either bus, train or ferry.
Once you made it passed the wooden Lomprayah pier on Koh Tao, you will have to make your way through thehordes of Taxi Car drivers who are well known for their perseverance and their constant shouting: "TAXI CAR!".Do yourself a favor and let us know your are coming to dive Koh Tao's waters. We'll arrange a pick-up at thepier and you'll only have to find your name on the whiteboard of our driver. With distinct pink Lomprayah stickers on their chests visitors hop on a typical Koh Tao means of transport:the illustrious pick-up truck. Soon the pick-up trucks are on their way, packed with guests, holding on for dear life. These tiny setbacks are soon forgotten when you take a plunge and do a James Bond entry off of one ofBuddha View's boats during a PADI dive course. Swim over to the buoy line, dive under and explore Koh Tao's amazing dive sites. With a little luck you might even find yourself in one of Buddha Bas's Open Water, Advanced Open Wateror Rescue Diver dive courses. But be aware, diving with Bas is addictive and Koh Tao will keep you in itsheavenly grasp. And before you know it, you will hear Mark mumble approvingly from behind his Open Water PresentationEvaluation Slate when you made one of the wisest decissions in your life and signed up for an InstructorDevelopment Course at Buddha View. |
