Six weeks ago I arrived at Buddha View dive resort. After the first introduction I soon decided that I would do my Divemaster Internship at Buddha View. From that moment on I experienced mixed feelings: uncertainty and triumph. Uncertainties about my dive skills and dive terminology in English and the feeling of triumph and pride after passing an exam. In the beginning I also had to get used to the hustle and bustle and all the people in and around the dive centre, and all the hectic logistics that come with it. Because of the good instructors and the training, as well as some great fellow students I soon got to know the professional dive world better and grew into my role as Divemaster. On a personal level I became more confident about myself, because I overcame some uncertainties and fears. I am curious if other Divemaster Trainees recognize these feelings. Anyway, the result of all the blood, sweat and seawater: as of today I am officially a Padi certified Divemaster!
